Well, it's officially two weeks before I pack things up, leave my "Howdy, ya'll"s behind, and step onto the plane for London - a daunting, albeit thrilling, prospect to say the least. In the meantime, I'd like to welcome everyone to my blog, something I've decided to start as a simple, one-stop way to update you all on what I'll be up to this spring. As many of you probably know, I'll be studying at Royal Holloway in Egham, a small town just outside of London (*cue excited shouts as Rebecca, who's never been abroad before, realizes just how close she is to finally leaving*). I'm doing this with IFSA-Butler, a great American-based program with Butler University that helps students study all over the world. The program runs from January through June, at which point I'll return to the states with a super-cultured, super-arrogant worldview (just kidding), and tons of souvenirs and worn-out travel clothes. Stay tuned throughout the semester for pictures, stories, and otherwise random ramblings - I promise not to desert you, o faithful readers!
That's all as far as introductions go - thanks for stopping by, and hope everyone has a wonderful, blessed Christmas with family and friends (and don't forget, it's your big chance to consume way too many cookies before New Year's, at which point you'll resolve to eat healthier and work out more, so don't blow it)!!
